Web development
Web development for websites and web apps that load fast and get found
A website is often the first thing a customer sees and the last thing a busy team has time to fix. We build company websites, customer portals and admin dashboards that load quickly, read well on a phone and are structured so search engines can understand them.
Theme29 uses modern frameworks such as Next.js and Tailwind CSS on the front end and Laravel for application back ends. This very website is built the same way, so the advice in this page is what we do ourselves.
Web development services
Company and product websites
Marketing sites that explain what you do clearly, load quickly and give visitors an obvious next step, whether that is a call, a message or a purchase.
Web applications and dashboards
Logged-in products with roles, forms, tables, charts and workflows: reporting dashboards, customer portals and internal tools.
Admin panels
Laravel-based back offices for managing content, users, orders and settings. Our own InvoiceX, WorkZen and PaySuite products ship with one.
APIs and integrations
REST APIs that serve your website and your mobile apps from a single back end, with payment, messaging and mapping services connected.
Built to be fast, accessible and easy to find
Technical quality is a large part of how a website performs in search and with customers.
Performance from the start
Pages are rendered ahead of time where possible, images are sized and compressed, and scripts are kept small, so the page is usable quickly and does not jump around while loading.
Search-friendly structure
One clear heading structure per page, clean URLs, canonical tags, sitemaps, and structured data that describes the business truthfully.
Accessibility
Keyboard navigation, visible focus states, sufficient contrast and meaningful alt text, because good accessibility and good SEO share many requirements.
Responsive by default
Layouts are designed for a phone first and scale up, tested on real screen sizes rather than only in a resized desktop browser.
What a well-built website changes
Visitors stay
Pages that load quickly and read clearly keep people long enough to understand what you offer.
Search engines understand you
Clean structure and honest structured data make it easier to be shown for the right searches.
Your team stays in control
Content and settings are editable through an admin area, without a developer for every change.

New pages, languages and features are additions to a solid base, not a rebuild.

How a web project runs
- 01
Goals and content
We agree what the site must achieve, who it is for and what pages and content it needs, before anyone opens a design tool.
- 02
Structure and design
Page structure, navigation and a visual design in your brand, reviewed on a phone-sized layout first.
- 03
Build
Components are built once and reused, so pages stay consistent and future changes stay cheap.
- 04
Search and speed pass
Metadata, structured data, sitemap, image sizes and page-speed checks are completed before launch.
- 05
Launch and hand-over
Deployment, analytics setup and a walkthrough. We can agree ongoing updates afterwards.

Why Theme29 for web development
We use this stack ourselves
theme29.com runs on Next.js and Tailwind CSS, and our product admin panels run on Laravel.
Design and build together
A UI/UX designer and developers work side by side, so the design that is approved is the design that ships.
SEO is part of the build
Metadata, structure and speed are handled during development, not bolted on afterwards.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Which technologies do you use for websites?
For most marketing sites and web apps we use Next.js, React, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS. For application back ends and admin panels we use Laravel. If your team already uses a different stack, tell us and we will say whether we can work with it.
Will my website be optimised for search engines?
We build the technical foundation: clean URLs, headings, metadata, sitemap, structured data and fast pages. Rankings also depend on your content, competition and links, which nobody can guarantee. We give you the foundation and clear guidance on the rest.
Can I edit the content myself?
Yes, if editing is part of the brief. We can provide an admin panel, or structure content so it is simple to update. We agree the level of self-service during scoping.
Do you build in WordPress?
Yes, when it is the right tool for a content-led site. We explain when we would recommend it and when a custom build is better on our WordPress development page.
Can you redesign or speed up an existing website?
Yes. We start with an audit of performance, structure and content, then propose either targeted fixes or a rebuild.
