Islamic app development
Islamic app development for Quran, prayer, dua and learning
Millions of people open an Islamic app every day, for prayer times, the Qur'an, a dua or a Ramadan schedule. That trust makes accuracy and respect non-negotiable: a wrong prayer time or a corrupted verse is not a small bug.
Theme29 builds Islamic apps for iOS and Android in Flutter. Zabi, our own Islamic companion app, brings the Qur'an with translations and audio, location-based prayer times, Qibla, nearby mosques, dua, dhikr and a Zakat calculator together, and it is a good example of what a complete build involves.
Types of Islamic app we build
Qur'an and Hadith apps
Reading, listening and searching with translations, transliteration and recitations. See our page on Qur'an app development for the detail.
Prayer time and Qibla apps
Location-based prayer times with adhan notifications, a Qibla compass and a nearby mosque finder.
Dua, dhikr and daily-worship companions
Curated collections of supplications, counters for remembrance and daily reminders.
Learning and education apps
Courses, Arabic reading practice, quizzes and progress tracking for students and children.
Mosque and community apps
Announcements, events, donation and prayer timetables for one mosque or a network of them.
Zakat and finance tools
Calculators and donation modules that guide the user without pretending to replace advice from scholars.
What matters when building an Islamic app
Accuracy of content and calculation
Texts come from verified sources and are never edited in transit. Prayer times use recognised calculation methods, with user choice and adjustments.
Licensing
Translations, recitations and fonts are often licensed separately. We help you check terms and record attributions before release.
Language and layout
Arabic needs correct shaping, fonts and right-to-left layouts. Zabi supports 40+ languages with full RTL mode.
AI features, carefully
An AI assistant can help with questions, but it should be clearly labelled, limited in scope and never presented as a scholar or a source of rulings. Zabi includes an AI Islamic chatbot, and we apply that caution in our own design.
Privacy
Location and usage data are personal. We request only what the feature needs and explain it plainly.
What a well-built Islamic app achieves
Daily habit
Reliable reminders and a calm interface bring people back each day.
Trust
Accurate content and transparent sources earn long-term users.
Reach
One Flutter codebase covers both stores in many languages.
Room to grow
Start with prayer times and Qur'an, then add learning, community or donations.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can I buy a ready-made Islamic app instead of a custom one?
Yes. Zabi is available as complete Flutter source code on CodeCanyon with a live demo. If it fits, you can rebrand and launch quickly. If you need something different, we can customise it or build a new app.
Where does the Quran text and audio come from?
From established, verified sources, with licences checked for each translation, recitation and font. We make sure the terms and attributions are recorded before release.
Do the apps work in Arabic and other languages?
Yes. Right-to-left layouts and Arabic typography are supported, and Zabi ships in more than 40 languages.
Can the app include an AI assistant?
It can, but we recommend clear labelling that it is not a scholar, a limited scope and sources shown where possible. Sensitive questions should point users to qualified people.
Do the apps work offline?
Text and calculated prayer times can work offline when designed that way. Streaming audio needs a connection unless downloads are included. We agree this during scoping.
