Mobile app development

Mobile app development for iOS and Android, from one codebase

Every Theme29 mobile product is written in Flutter, so the same app ships to the App Store and Google Play with native performance and one place to maintain. We apply that approach to client apps as well: staff apps, customer apps and companion apps for existing systems.

An app rarely works alone. We build the API, the admin panel and the notification and payment plumbing around it, so what you get is a complete system, not just screens.

Mobile app development services

Cross-platform apps with Flutter

One codebase for iOS and Android means features reach both platforms together and there is only one app to test and maintain.

Customer-facing apps

Apps for ordering, booking, learning, community or self-service, designed for one-handed use and small screens.

Staff and field apps

Attendance, approvals, reports and task apps for people who are not at a desk, connected to a central admin panel.

Companion apps for existing systems

If a web system already runs your business, we add a mobile front end on top of it through an API.

Features that make mobile apps worth having

The phone offers capabilities a website cannot. We use them where they help the user.

Push notifications

Timely reminders, approvals and updates, with user-level control so notifications stay useful.

Location and maps

Location-based features such as prayer times, nearby places or attendance, requested with clear permission prompts.

Camera and biometrics

Face and biometric recognition for attendance, QR code scanning for check-in, and photo capture for documents.

In-app payments and wallets

Card and mobile-wallet payments through gateways such as Stripe, PayPal, bKash and SSLCommerz, depending on the market.

Why build once in Flutter

Lower cost to maintain

One codebase instead of two means bug fixes and new features are done once.

Consistent experience

Both platforms share the same design and behaviour, which simplifies training and support.

Native-level performance

Flutter compiles to native code and renders its own interface, giving smooth animation and scrolling.

Faster iteration

Shared code and hot-reload development shorten the loop between a feedback round and the next build.

How an app project runs

  1. 01

    Define the core journey

We pick the two or three things a user must be able to do and design the app around them.

  2. 02

    Design and prototype

Screens for both platforms in a tappable prototype you can hold in your hand before development.

  3. 03

Build the app and the back end

App, API and admin panel are built together so they stay in step.

  4. 04

    Test on real devices

Testing across screen sizes and OS versions, plus pre-release builds for your own team.

  5. 05

    Publish and support

We prepare release builds and help with App Store and Google Play submission under your developer accounts.

Why Theme29 for mobile apps

Five of our six products are Flutter apps

Zabi, InvoiceX, PaySuite, WorkZen and Tribu are live Flutter products, so building, testing and releasing apps is routine for us.

The whole system, not just screens

We build the admin panel and API so you can run the app without a developer.

Documented releases

Our installation guides explain changing the app name and icons, connecting your API and building a release. Clients get the same care.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Should my app be native or cross-platform?

For most business and consumer apps, Flutter delivers native-quality results from one codebase at a lower cost. Very platform-specific or graphics-heavy apps can justify separate native builds. We will tell you honestly which side your project falls on.

Do you build for both iOS and Android?

Yes. Flutter lets us ship both from the same code, and we test on both platforms before release.

Who owns the developer accounts for the App Store and Google Play?

You do. The app is published under your own developer accounts, which keeps ownership clear. We help with the listing, build and submission steps.

Will the app need a server or admin panel?

Most apps do: somewhere to store data, send notifications and manage content. We usually build a Laravel API and web admin panel alongside the app.

Can you add features to an app someone else built?

Often, yes, particularly if it is written in Flutter. We review the code first to give an honest estimate.
